端午节 (DuanWu Jie)

端午节 (DuanWu Jie) aka Dragonboat Festival aka Dumpling Festival

Whatever you call it, it’s still a festival. And festivals mean food! yay You can be sure that many many Chinese are chomping away on their Bak Zhang (ZhongZhi 棕子 Rice Dumplings) during the 5th day of the 5th moon… or the days follow up to the big event.

zhongziMum spent the whole day making a whole heap of these Bak Zhang. It’s so much better than buying it because you can make special requests and they taste a lot yummier! And mum’s not stingy on the meat unlike some of those other rice dumplings I’ve had, the ones where I have to eat half the dumpling before I could get a taste of any meat!

    Hi xiaoyin!
The rice dumpling should be 粽子 instead if “seed” as u written there.
I like 粽子 with lots of pork, hahaha…. especially the fat lol.
