Ninniku Jip
Cuisine: Korean
Address: 867 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park, WA 6010

The section of Albany Highway where you can find Ninniku Jip is dotted with some pretty good range of cuisines. To stand out from the crowd, Ninniku Jip focuses on the family diners. They are a very family friendly restaurant with playground (although it was closed for renovations during Mothers’ Day weekend), change tables and kid’s menu.
Looking from the outside in, you would think that this was just another modern looking restaurant. But you can tell by the many patrons who bring in their kids, toddlers, babies (prams and all) that it is a popular family haunt. The food service was great, our waitress efficient with the order and the food was served promptly despite being quite busy that night.

I can’t remember everything that was ordered, but I mostly ate the Bundae Chigae Hot Pot (shared between 2 ppl). Generally you can’t go wrong with ordering a bulgogi and kimchi… and I personally think the Bibimbap is also quite nice although I didn’t try the one at Ninniku Jip. I was also really glad to try some of the Dukbboki Hot Pot my cousins ordered, it really took me back to the freezing winter days in Beijing when I would buy a cup of Dukbboki to warm up!
The next time I go to Ninniku Jip, I would probably not order the Bundae Chigae hot pot again because I found it too sour and spicy for my taste… it would be perfect if you are a lover of kimchi though!
