LinkedIn pulling a Facebook

I hate to lose control of the privacy of my personal information on social networking sites like LinkedIn and Facebook. And after the multiple ‘upgrades’ which Facebook introduced and turned us all into social advertising (without consent), I have near little trust in the company. I thought LinkedIn would be different because they market themselves as professional networking sites… so disappointing.

To make sure you aren’t used in any of their social advertising follow these instructions:

If you’re a LinkedIn user and want to opt out of all this, go to where your name is displayed on the top right of your LinkedIn screen and click on “Settings”. Click on “Account” at the bottom left of screen, then “Manage Social Advertising”.
