We decided at the very last moment to dine at the newly opened Nobu in Perth for dinner. I called up Burswood to make a booking for the night but was told it was fully booked.
We went anyway.
Fyi, Nobu is tucked behind the Spice Lounge and Atrium.

Once seated we were given the drinks menu, but we were pretty hungry so we went straight for the food.
The BF ordered since he’s already eaten at Nobu in New York and Melbourne… it was dangerously done on an empty stomach. Thankfully our waiter had some initiative not to enter all our dishes!
Our meal:
Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno – 26
Prawn Creamy Spicy Sauce – Tempura – 24
*Black Cod Miso - 46
Squid Pasta with Light Garlic Sauce – 25
Prawns with Spicy Garlic Sauce – 28
DAVID BLACKMORE WAGYU 9+ $28 per 50gm
*New Style (100gm)
Steak 3 Sauces (100gm)
Kushiyaki & Anticucho
Beef – 14
Chicken – 12
*Recommended

New Style (100gm) and Steak 3 Sauces (100gm)
Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno
We were pretty lucky to be neighboring a savvy couple and were inspired to order the Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, both of which were delicious. Highly recommend the Black Cod Miso and New Style Wagyu!!! *rant rant rant*
There was nothing to fault in any of the dishes, but we probably should have only ordered either the Squid Pasta with Light Garlic Sauce (it’s actually squid disguised as pasta) or Prawns with Spicy Garlic Sauce since they were almost identical dishes. The Prawn Tempura Creamy Spicy Sauce was said to be popular, but we just prefer the traditional tempura…
The service was fantastic, staff were attentive and well coordinated. Better than Alure and even Rockpool Bar and Grill during their slow period. I especially enjoyed the service from our waitress who was attentive but not overbearing, answered all our questions and was helpful with our menu choices. I’m not sure why the rating is only 68% on Urbanspoon, I’ve only read good things about Nobu… maybe other restaurants are jealous?
