Hayashi Japanese Restaurant has been around for many many years, but it wasn’t high on my list of eateries. Friends had mentioned that although the food and service was good, it just wasn’t worth the price paid. I finally found my way there for dinner a few weeks ago so that we could utilise the Entertainment Book discount.
I had a huge craving for sashimi and this was exactly what I needed. Slices were thick and fresh, Delicious! The scallop was apparently weird tasting, but because there were only 2 pieces I didn’t have any.
The Beef Tenderloin was another great dish served up perfectly done. Juicy thick cubes that were easy to bite. The Fish Teriyaki was a last minute order because we didn’t think we had ordered enough, and we were right. We gobbled it up quickly before I had a chance to take a photo.
Vegetable Tempura was standard, but their Soft Shell Crab Tempura was perfect! It was exactly what you want from a Soft Shell Crab Tempura, nothing at all like the one at Ha-Lu. Overall it was a delicious meal about $30 per head with the Entertainment Book discount. And despite trouble finding parking, I wouldn’t mind returning… with the Entertainment discount…
I hate to lose control of the privacy of my personal information on social networking sites like LinkedIn and Facebook. And after the multiple ‘upgrades’ which Facebook introduced and turned us all into social advertising (without consent), I have near little trust in the company. I thought LinkedIn would be different because they market themselves as professional networking sites… so disappointing.

Such simple steps and yet I’m still struggling with deciding on what I want.
I need to get over this fear of making mistakes because it really just inhibits me from getting anything done.

It’s worth it!
I’ve been seriously thinking about a career change, something away from the clinical life of a Dental Hygienist. My constant surfing brought me to the Australian Government Job Search site. I’ve always known about it, but I didn’t realise that it provided such detailed information about all the different career paths. From this site it takes you out to so many websites to the point I wonder why they even bother setting them all up in the first place?
Anyway, one of the links takes you to the Job Outlook site which I recommend people to have a look at. The information is all there for the viewing, why not have a squiz at the industry averages? Obviously I had a good read on the outlook for Dental Hygienists.
They’ve grouped Hygienists together with Therapists as usual, but I didn’t understand the logic of the Technicians and Prosthetics getting tied in together with us…?
The job outlook for the Hygienist isn’t bad, especially for those in WA. There has been a change from the traditional Dental Hygiene/Therapy group to Oral Health Therapist for those in Perth, and that means a year of no new Dental Hygienists or Therapists.
I’ve reached the point where the joy I have from treating patients has diminished to a depressing state. Constant internal politics, pure stinginess, idiots who don’t know how to run a business, aches and pains… etc. have amounted so much that it outweighs most of my desire to stay. I’m still reluctant to let go, and reluctant to leave the comfort zone I’ve created.
Let’s see where life takes me.
Some people like necklaces and other people like bracelets… but of all these shiny things, I love earrings!
And lucky for me BF knew this when he went to the United States with his boys and bought me some presents ^_-
I love love these Swarovski earrings! I love the fact that I can combine the crystals together or just wear it single or neither. I love the fact that they’re so sparkly and shinyyy (I love shiny things). I’m not too sure when to wear these earrings, I’m so worried to lose them or smudge them but I can’t wait for the right occasion!
I love these Fossil earrings and the Ralph Lauren earrings because they’re pieces which I can wear for any occasion. Well, minus the beaded hoop earrings… they just seem more fun and casual to me. The gold Ralph Lauren earrings always seem to draw my attention, but I think my favourite of this lot would be the Fossil feather earrings. There’s just something in the detail that I love.
There’s a few old earrings that I can’t wear now because it’s damaged or missing >_< so I’m glad that BF bought me these to add to my collection ^__^
