Happy Mother’s Day!!

Massive Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there!!

Taking mum out is always handy for celebrating Mother’s Day because really, she needs a break!

We tried out Ninniku Jip, a Modern Korean restaurant in East Victoria Park. It’s a very family friendly restaurant with playground, change tables and kid’s menu. For the second round of dinner, we went to the yummy Thai Corner on Canning Highway. But with my cheeky little nephew there, it was difficult for mum and 2 grandmothers to get any rest.

Well I guess that’s the pains a mother must go through….

Easter Holiday – Busselton

This year’s extra long “5 day weekend” for Easter/Anzac Day was taken advantage of by almost everyone, so bf and I joined the crowd and went down south to visit Margaret River along with half of Perth. The streets in Perth seemed so deserted and gradually became busier during our drive down to Busselton.

We stopped by Bunbury on the Easter Friday where it was mostly deserted except for tourists. Luckily I had already been to Bunbury because the visitor center was closed and we couldn’t get a map of sites to visit.

Busselton was our next stop.

Our accommodation was at Abbey Beach Resort, situated closer to Busselton than Dunsborough, it was one of the last places to be booked out for the weekend. The Studio apartment had it’s own little kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge and all the essential things like kettle, ironing board and cutlery all provided for.

Abbey Beach Resort also had plenty of family friendly facilities available which we didn’t utilise,  even Geographe Bay in the backyard of the resort.

Of course, you can’t go to Busselton and not visit the Busselton Jetty!

And we even took the train to the Underwater Observatory.

We walked the length back to shore, checking out the fishing potential.

And chomped down on some yummy ice cream from Simmo’s to regain our energy =)

Day 2 we headed out to Dunsborough, it was buzzing full of people .

And of course we went to hit the wineries.

Day 3 we went into Margaret River.

And right into the darkness of Mammoth Cave…

Birthday Weekend

Yet another whirlwind weekend~

Cleansing In Progress…

I’ve read enough about the risks of posting your thoughts on the internet (1, 2) and thought I should probably give SelinaLai.com a thorough cleansing… I recall a few emotional rants bagging certain products, services, and the like.

It’s a sad sad day for bloggers like me to have to remove opinionated posts ‘to-be-on-the-safe-side’. You can’t just post anything online any more, you have to stay vigilant and constantly alert! police

Please don’t be surprised if there are any broken links, dead images and/0r posts which you can no longer access or find online etc.
