Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner has been haunting me on the radio for a quite a while now. It took some googling time to work out that the name of the song was actually “Dream Catch Me” because I couldn’t quite decipher it, the only part of the song lyrics I was sure of was:

Is Dream supposed to be a name of someone? Or does it literally mean a figment of our imagination, head in the clouds type of dream?

Anyways, the Potluck Dinner yesterday night turned out quite well. I admit that I started to worry around 7pm but at the end of it all, I had a lot of fun and I hope you guys did too!~

Although OneRepublic was popularised by their song Apologise ft. Timberland, they have some pretty good tracks to listen to on their album, Dreaming Out Loud. It’s funny though, I don’t really like their title track, Dreaming Out Loud. I usually prefer the title track over the other songs but I just didn’t find it to my taste this time around.

Stop and Stare has already made it into the mainstream media and Say (All I Need) will most likely be all over the radio as their 3rd single to be released so I won’t go into how nice it is, you can judge for yourself. But I also really like their song Goodbye Apathy. It has a really nice beat, and when the music and vocals combine, it makes a great chillout song.

Mercy, Someone To Save You and Prodigal are another few tracks to have a listen to. Wow, that’s almost their whole album! Anyway, I’ll end it here with the lyrics to Goodbye Apathy and Mercy.

Of all the Groove Coverage tracks, I think God is a Girl is the most well known in China. Even after they’ve released the song so many years ago, it’s not uncommon to hear God is a Girl playing in the China stores, radio, restaurants etc. It even showed up unexpectedly in class the other day when our lecturer had us watch a scene from a movie!

Anyway, here’s a youtube music video of the song. I was pretty suprised when I first saw the clip because I didn’t think religious organisations would have allow it… but then again, I’ve never actually seen it on TV.

Faraway from Home by Groove Coverage is a great song that’s not quite as trancy as their other tracks (maybe that’s why I like this track?). I’ve been meaning to update and finish off the posts I made of my adventure in China but I’ve been quite lazy and finding myself getting inspiration for stories I’m most likely never going to complete.

I’ve been having some trouble falling asleep lately, and it seems to coincide with the date of my departure (fyi it’s this Sunday, 26th August). When I lay in bed at night, it’s as if my brain doesn’t want to wind down and it races over my past present and future. It actually isn’t so bad because it’s made me realised how lucky I have been all my life, but this tossing and turning has deprived me of sleep.
